Captain Skippy Charters is Miller Place's fishing charter — literally next door. Our dock at Mount Sinai Marina is a 5-minute drive west on Route 25A, and the water we work every day is the same water Miller Place looks out at from the beach. Private, USCG-licensed, 1–4 anglers, all tackle and NY State fishing license included.

Your closest private charter option

If you live in Miller Place, you've probably driven past our marina a hundred times. What you may not know: the boat you can see tied up there — the Christina M II, a 26-ft Down East — runs private half-day charters for 1–4 anglers all season, plus fall blackfish trips through November. No head-boat rail, no strangers, no long run to the fishing grounds. From your driveway to the boat is basically the length of your morning coffee.

The water you already know

The Long Island Sound off Miller Place is our home turf. The sand flats and rock structure just outside Mount Sinai Harbor hold striped bass, fluke and porgies from spring through October, and the harder bottoms east of the harbor mouth turn on for fall blackfish starting October 11. From your kitchen window you can see roughly where we'll be fishing.

• Half-Day Mixed Bag (May 1 – October 10, $600 / boat, 5 hours). Striped bass, bluefish, fluke, black sea bass, porgies. Morning or afternoon.
• Fall Blackfish (Tautog) (October 11 – November 30, $700 / boat, 6 hours). Custom rigs and live green crabs on rocky structure.
• Custom trips — bachelor parties, family days, sunset trips, more.

Directions from Miller Place

Take Route 25A west about 3 miles to Mount Sinai. Turn north (right) on Harbor Beach Road, pass the marina guard booth, and take the first left after the stop sign into the Town Marina lot. Far east side, first dock — Christina M II. Free parking for Town of Brookhaven residents with a sticker.
